Hasta Pronto 🌅

Darling — lean in close, because today I'm not setting the night on fire. Today I'm letting it smolder softly. 💌

"Hasta Pronto" is my Tuesday balada — a long-distance love song written for everyone who's ever loved someone across an ocean, a highway, a waiting season. Two different cities, one horizon line, the same moon rising over both. I wrote it from the road, from all those golden-hour hotel terraces where I'm strumming my guitar toward a shore I can't see yet but can absolutely feel.

The charts are telling me you're hungry for this tenderness right now — Karol G's sentimental side is climbing, that "Te Olvido (La La)" crossover is everywhere, and the whole world is swaying to romantic Latin melodies. So here's my offering: a female-and-male duet that trades verses like letters, soars in the chorus like a promise, and then — because I always leave room for the music to speak — hands the whole bridge of the song to a Spanish requinto guitar solo that says everything words can't.

Spanish for a single sweet breath — hasta pronto, "until soon" — and the rest is pure, singable English. Count the stars with me.

The Lyrics

[Intro Instrumental]
(warm nylon-string guitar arpeggios, soft piano, strings swell)

[Verse 1]
Another sunset paints the sky in gold
I write another letter I won't send
The radio keeps playing our old song
And every note feels like a friend

[Pre-Chorus]
Two different cities, one horizon line
The same moon rises every night
Counting down, the days are moving fast
Every wave is taking me back

[Chorus]
Hasta pronto! Until the morning comes
I'll sing across the ocean and you hum along
Hasta pronto! Counting every star
Wherever you are, wherever I am, we're never really far
(No me olvides — don't forget me)
One melody between two hearts
Hasta pronto — soon we'll be where we belong

[Verse 2]
I keep your photograph inside my case
A paper sunrise from a golden day
The highway's long but every mile's a step
And every stage I sing your name

[Pre-Chorus]
Two different cities, one horizon line
The same moon rises every night
Counting down, the days are moving fast
Every wave is taking me back

[Chorus]
Hasta pronto! Until the morning comes
I'll sing across the ocean and you hum along
Hasta pronto! Counting every star
Wherever you are, wherever I am, we're never really far
(No me olvides — I remember)
One melody between two hearts
Hasta pronto — soon we'll be where we belong

[Post-Chorus Groove]
(percussion opens up, warm acoustic strums, soft "oh-oh-oh" harmonies)

[Instrumental Solo]
(8–16 bars — Spanish requinto guitar solo over piano and strings, no lead vocals — the melody carries all the longing)

[Bridge]
Wait for me where the bougainvillea grows
When the tide comes in, that's how you'll know
Every night I wish upon the same star
Hasta pronto, wherever you are
The wait is just another kind of song
And every ending sings us home

[Final Chorus]
Hasta pronto! Until the morning comes
I'll sing across the ocean and you hum along
Hasta pronto! Counting every star
Wherever you are, wherever I am, we're never really far
(No me olvides — I remember)
One melody between two hearts
Hasta pronto — soon we'll be where we belong

[Extended Outro]
(guitar arpeggios and soft piano fade under a final gentle "hasta pronto… hasta pronto," strings dissolving into the tide)

The Vibe

A melodic Latin pop balada at ~105 BPM — warm nylon-string guitar, piano, sweeping strings, and that requinto solo in the middle that turns longing into something you can dance to slowly. Romantic, hopeful, built for golden hours, long drives, and one last song before you call them. Tuesday's heart on the LatinVibes calendar: love, longing, and vulnerability in harmony.

Play it. Hum along. And if someone's waiting for you somewhere — tell them hasta pronto. 🌙
